Let the High School Senior Season Begin!!

Your Class of 2013 student hasn’t even finished their junior year and already you are hearing the buzz about senior portraits.  It’s either paperwork coming home from the school or your child telling you about their friend’s newest photos.  Senior portraits are a steadfast tradition, sort of  a right of passage for our friends on the west coast and other areas of the US but somehow they are not yet commonly viewed as a necessity here.  I am going to tell you why it’s so important to mark this momentous occasion with professional portraits.

Lasting Memories

Your Class of 2013 student is getting ready to venture off into NEW challenges, whether that be college or the beginning of a career.  Just as you marked your sweet little newborn’s arrival into your family, you should also mark this milestone in life.  Capture your child as he or she is now.  We all know there is much more growing to be done, but capture your child’s personality NOW.  Is she shy?  Is he an athlete?  Is she a fashionista?   A custom photography session will capture that.  Either in person or on the telephone, we will plan your child’s session.  I will ask a lot of questions.  Then together we will brainstorm, locations, outfits, creative and artistic ways to incorporate important aspects into your session, resulting in portraits that are UNIQUELY your child.

Confidence

After a senior session, your son/daughter will have an little extra spring in his/her step from the CONFIDENCE BOOST. Let’s face it all high school seniors are young and beautiful.  I love helping them see their inner and outer beauty with my boutique like portrait experience.   My approach to these sessions is to make them fun, wholesome and all about the SENIOR!  I work with a professional makeup artist who applies makeup to each of my seniors, highlighting their natural beauty and features, reflecting who they are.   Throughout the session I will share images that I’ve captured with the senior and I can tell you, it’s AMAZING to see them unfold and come out of their shell and BLOSSOM right before my camera lens.   It’s wonderful!  With a confidence, people push themselves to limits they never knew they could reach, resulting in GREAT things!!

Contact me (nicole@nicolelubinphotography) to book a session for your senior.  You won’t regret it!

Mothers….

You care for me long before I’m born.

You warm my heart with your kisses.

 You comfort me.

You show me exciting things.

You soothe me when I’m sad.

You sing to me.

You play with me.

You tell me stories.

You’re always there to offer a helping hand.

You stand by for support while giving me room to grow.

You keep me clean and make it fun.

You  guide me along the way…

And learn from me too.

You make me laugh.

You love and appreciate my special gifts whether they be the slimey kind or the sweet smelling kind.

You adore me.

You take the journey with me.

I appreciate all you’ve done for me, so when you need me I’ll be there to help you too.

To all the special moms out there, here’s to you!

Beth - LOVE!

Ignite. A Creative Discovery. April

Inspired by Nichole Van and her group {Elevate},  several photographers and I have decided to take some time each month to explore the fine art side of photography.  Each month, we will post a photo or series of images focused on art and photography. There are no rules. Just post what comes from the heart and ignite those creative juices, allowing the inner artist a chance to explore and fly.

For this month, I chose a dreamy moment in a beautiful spring garden

This year is the 100th anniversary of the generous gift of 3000 cherry blossom trees from Tokyo Japan to the United States.  With my camera and lenses in hand I headed down to the Tidal Basin, elbowed the thousands of other photographers aside so that I could get these shots marking the centennial celebration.   I’m just kidding, I didn’t elbow anyone but there really were thousands of photographers there.  It was crazy but beautiful none the less.

Please continue along and see the fabulous art that Wheatland WY photographer Carrie Hyche has created this month.  (** the blog circle officially starts April 2)
